Sell your wines or your cellar with us in 5 simple steps

Throughout the year, Baghera/wines proposes to assist you in the precise evaluation of your collection and your wines. Our appraisals are free of charge and confidential.

To have your cellar or specific bottles appraised, various solutions are open to you. You can send us a detailed list or photos of your wines by email. Alternatively we can arrange for one of our experts to make an assessment in person. Learn more at the Contact section of our site.

Why make an inventory of your wine?

  • To appreciate the value of your wines or of your entire cellar.
  • To put in place a division, a donation or an insurance contrat, or in the context of an inheritance.
  • With a view to selling your wines or your cellar.

Inventories are established there and then by our experts, after which our assessment will be presented to you in a detailed written report.

If upon receiving an appraisal you are interested to sell your wine at auction, we can help with that too. We will proceed to an in-depth valuation of your wines. This stage is followed by a detailed proposal and a marketing plan specially adapted to your project.

Throughout the process, our concern is to ensure your complete satisfaction through a one-to-one dialogue as we work together to create your personalised project.

We advise you on the most suitable selling method for your wines, whether by catalogue or room auction, by “Kipling” auction, Wine o’clock online auction or private auction. And together we can select the optimum date for the sale.

Before of the sale, we will draw up a consignment agreement, listing in detail the wines that you have chosen to deposit with Baghera/wines.

This agreement also includes the terms and conditions of sale agreed upon together (the reserve price of your wines, the commission rate, insurance and payment terms etc.).

We can, upon request, assist you in the handling of the wines from your cellar and their delivery to our storage centre in Geneva before the sale, where the bottles will be photographed, catalogued and stored.

The Baghera/wines team works alongside you throughout the entire process of the sale to allow your bottles to reach the best best price at auction.

You will receive payment for the bottles sold during the auction 35 days after the sale.
